Chevron Lummus Global (CLG) and Bapco Refining recently collaborated to deliver a highly successful 5-day LC-FINING training program for a team of highly experienced Slovnaft operators at Bapco Refining/CLG’s LC-FINING Center of Excellence, located in Bapco Refining’s Training & Development Department in Awali, Kingdom of Bahrain. The Center of Excellence, managed jointly by Bapco Refining and CLG, is specifically designed to provide operators with a distraction-free environment for training using dynamic simulators and interactive plant operation scenarios, ensuring effective cognitive retention of knowledge related to the training material.

Led by CLG and Bapco Refining subject matter experts, the training program covered critical areas related to LC-FINING such as design and hydrodynamics, catalyst inventory control, temp control, temperature surveillance, emergency cutbacks, and bed level controls. Participants were provided with invaluable insights into our LC-FINING technology and had the opportunity to address specific areas of interest to Slovnaft such as the operator training simulator (OTS), training facilities, and other training methodologies.
